Agile Leadership (A) Training Course

Who Would Benefit

This ground-breaking leadership training course is designed for senior leaders who want to add true agility to their leadership capability by exploring how to develop the mind-set that enables the transformation of complex business challenges and change initiatives into high levels of achievement.

Course Description

We are in a period of industrial revolution ruled by technology, a period where the pace of change outstrips our ability to keep up. We can no longer run organisations or lead in the way that we have to-date, yet many leadership and organisational practices have not changed. Agile leaders recognise this and shape their organisational culture to embrace not resist fast-moving change. Agile leadership is about moving beyond the historical competencies that shaped successful leaders of the past into an arena where leadership means cultivating an environment that enables growth and creativity to flourish.

Our programme provides the platform for you to begin your shift in mind-set towards becoming an agile leader. You start with a pre-event 2-hour, one-to-one discussion with your programme facilitator. During this time you will analyse and discuss feedback from two reports centred on your behavioural preferences and current leadership capability.

During your 3-day event, much of your time will be spent working as one facilitated group with fellow participants. You will bring to the event a real and current personal leadership challenge and focus your energy on discussing and analysing this challenge throughout the 3 days.

In support of this, you will combine activity that explores well-researched current thinking and approaches to 21st Century leadership with our unique and invaluable coaching sessions. Our coaching sessions provide you with a rewardingly immersive experience and sit at the heart of the programme’s, and ultimately your success.

Learning Outcomes

This training course is designed to take you on a journey that will open your mind to new ways of leadership thinking and doing; to change your mind-set from being reactive to creative. Our programme will enable you to become a more:

  • Agile leader
  • Conscious leader
  • Strategic leader
  • Purposeful leader
  • Creative leader
The Programme Includes:

Day 1: Traditional Leadership & Self

Exploring traditional leadership structure and culture, you will assess and discuss how your behavioural preferences support this approach and dovetail with the emotional intelligence of leadership.

Day 2: Adopting an Agile Approach

Assessing and evaluating organisational agility in the context of 21st Century Leadership, you will explore what makes leaders more agile in shaping their organisation for today’s world and beyond, and how significant power and influence is to this process.

Day 3: VUCA World Agility

Continuing from days 1 and 2, you will turn your attention to delivering the change you expect to make by examining today’s threats to your organisational change initiatives and how best to combat them.

Personal Leadership Challenge: Days 1, 2 and 3.

This is a highly practical and hands-on programme and we ask you to bring your most important leadership challenge – or change – to the programme. It’s a well-used, if not over-used, phrase that leadership is about change. At any one-point senior leaders will be trying to effect a myriad of changes within their business, and often these changes overlap and impact other changes that are being made. The result is that change is messy, complex and problematic – and hard to work through.

In recognition of this, we devote significant time in the programme to each participants’ leadership challenge. This time is spent employing all participants’ knowledge, the latest research and sophisticated Group coaching techniques to really focus on what needs to be done. In these sessions we will examine your context, your style, your goals and those of significant stakeholders in order to take a deep dive into what is most important to you to be successful with your challenge.

Day 4: Consolidation Day

You will leave the programme with a good understanding of what you will do, how you will do it but most importantly why you will do it. You will also leave with a group spirit and determination to push for collective, as well as individual success.

“Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do. Don’t wish it were easier; wish you were better.” Jim Rohn.

Your consolidation day is designed to enhance your progress on your challenge and reinforce your willingness and ability to be successful.
