Leadership Training and Management Training for your company

At Maguire training, we have a series of courses that centre around leadership training and also management training. There are several options available that you may want to choose and here are some of the most popular courses that are on offer with this company:

Leading a team to success and motivation

Leading a team of people is perhaps the most difficult task that managers will have to face while in the workplace, as a team of people can be unpredictable. It is often the case that you would need leadership training because it does not always come naturally as a skill to most people. However, despite this it is possible with the relevant management training to learn the necessary skills to evolve and develop your management style. This should then give you the 'tools' to bridge the gap between leading and management that is a vital skill for those in a management position.
This leadership training programme will give delegates formulas for the idea of giving direction to employees or team members and being able to stimulate them. Motivation is commonly the key to this management training and smooth running of the team you may be overseeing. This in turn should lead to team members contributing more to the company in terms of performance - while also enjoying it!

Making your meetings work for you and your team

You can make your meetings work for you and your team if you use the right kind of strategy. Without management training or leadership training, most managers would at some time agree that there are usually criticisms of the way meetings are arranged and conducted in their work based organisation. To try and combat this negativity it may be advisable to take the 'Making Meetings Work' course that runs for one day with the Maguire Training company. This one day workshop is an excellent way of helping managers to establish a style of managing meetings that will determine, in theory, a more profitable outcome to the process. Without management training or leadership training you will know that meetings are a necessary part of our working lives and so it is for the benefit of all involved that they are productive, positive and worthwhile - which is what this course aims to achieve with each delegate taking part.

Managing elements of change in the workplace

Change is a difficult thing. Change is an inevitable thing. Change is all around us and is all encompassing, like the passing seasons and the aging of the skin; everything is changing and rolling on. Management training cannot solve this. Time and change cannot be stopped and so must be embraced to avoid irrevocable dissonance in our lives and in our work environment. As with leadership training, the essence of change is the search for continual measured improvement whether this is with people or with a set structure. It can often be the case that too many managers hold the view that many elements of change in the workplace are to be a negatively viewed prospect for them and indeed their team.
With management training, managers can be taught to view change positively and search for continual measured improvement to achieve great results. The managers will then be prepared to embrace the challenge of the changes around them and drive the change process themselves and encourage others to follow their example. This leadership training courses examines the nature of change and how people react to it whilst exploring in great detail how to help people to not only welcome change but to stimulate and encourage it.

The elements and skills for managing discipline and grievance

Discipline must be applied, and discipline should be taken seriously. Who knows what the grievance may be, it could be slight or it could be a greater problem that could threaten the success of a whole team. A course can be integral in the process of dealing with the challenges that you can face in these kinds of situations. A course for this may be necessary for even confident and experienced managers, as they too can shy away from the most difficult issues as they often fear the outcome of their actions and words.
This course is however designed to help managers to deal specifically with poor performance and will also help them create an environment in which people perform effectively. This will allow managers to be taught to give and receive constructive feedback to ensure that there are positive working relationships within the team. In addition to this training that is involved, the course will equip each delegate to be able to handle performance problems correctly and in a professional and timely manner, in line with company policies.

Business Solutions

Recruitment

Too often recruitment can be characterised as a process in which 'eventually we shall find the right candidate'.
This approach is unacceptable to Maguire. Instead, we take the view that our job is to find the client one, two or three candidates for the position on which we have been briefed. The question for the client then is not 'which candidate can fulfill the role?', but instead 'which candidate do I want to work with?' because every candidate Maguire put forward will be equipped to undertake the role.
When our recruitment professionals undertake a bespoke recruitment project or executive search process they employ a wide range of tools aligned with the brief we have received. Often the use of profiling and psychometric tools help us to objectively assess a candidates suitability and in-depth behavioural interviewing then allows us to substantiate a candidates experience, drive and ambition.

Consultancy

At Maguire we believe that business consultancy is a tool - a means to an end. As such, it provides the client and Maguire with the opportunity to define their thinking on the key issues at hand and agree a plan for the way forward.
